Chasing Change
Welcome to Chasing Change
Chasing Change is a Suicide Prevention Network based in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula area of Victoria. We are an all inclusive organisation that aims to create positive change in our communities. We focus on three core values; community, collaboration and conversation.
Events
Events are a key part of what we do at Chasing Change. We run our own events that foster a welcoming environment for all. We also work hard to promote and support other local initiatives and the events they run. This collaboration is something we are passionate about.
Blog
Our team is comprised of people with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We like to share and promote their expertise by creating engaging and informative blog pieces. Have a look through the various topics and see if there is something that may interest you!
Partnerships
Chasing Change truly believes in the power of collaboration.
Collaboration is key to implementing successful community-wide change and part of this collaboration is working with leaders of the business community to establish effective partnerships.
So why should you partner with us?
Team
Get to know some of the faces of Chasing Change. We have a passionate team of volunteers who work hard to make Chasing Change the best it can be.
Rebecca Tyler
I joined CC after I lost my twin sister to suicide. I am hoping to make a difference within my community and if I am able to help save one life in the process, then it has all been worth it.
Fiona Susan Ryan
I joined CC after my daughter Tess took her life and I hope to find a way to make sure that other familes do not have to go through the pain and sorrow that we have experienced.
Mick Simmons
It was important to me to find people that wanted something that I really wanted and that was to do my part at reducing suicides in the community that I and my family live in.
Andrew Joseph (AJ, Jo, Dad)
I joined through my role within the Youth Services team at the Mornington Peninsula Shire. My hope is for a happy, healthy and connected community.
Emma Gibb
I lost my husband Mark to suicide in 2021. In 2023, I started working for Support After Suicide, a program that has provided incredible support to me and our son after Mark’s passing, and I was invited to join the Chasing Change team. With the CC team, I hope to provide opportunities for us to gather as a community, to remember our loved ones, share our stories, and support each other in our grief.
Sam Grigg
I hope to help Chasing Change transition into fully fledge organisation who are financially sustainable in order to create meaningful and impactful change in our local communities.
Alison (Aly) Madden
I joined Chasing Change to raise awareness around mental health issues and support grass roots suicide prevention initiatives.
Kayla Shelbourne
I hope we can educate and equip our community with the skills to support one another. I hope we can empower those who find themselves in crisis to seek help and start their recovery journey.
Georgia Hocking
I joined Chasing Change in 2016 after losing my younger brother Ben to suicide. Ben was 22 years old and it was a complete shock to everyone.
Kate McLoughlin
I joined Chasing Change with the hope that sharing my experience as a mother bereaved by suicide, I could help to prevent the loss of more lives in my community.
